Privacy PolicyLast revised on
1/07/04.
ValuPage is committed to protecting your
privacy. Saving money on ValuPage usually requires nothing
more than the selection of your zip code and preferred
supermarket. Other information is optional and is only
utilized to provide relevant savings opportunities for you and
your household.
What information is collected on
the ValuPage site?
In order to start saving with ValuPage, we need to know
your zip code which will identify participating supermarkets
in your area. We need to know the supermarket at which you
will be using ValuPage to ensure that all offers are available
and that a valid UPC bar code is on your store-ready ValuPage.
We will never share your uniquely identifiable information
with any company.
To receive a monthly e-mail reminder for ValuPage, you
must provide your e-mail address. This e-mail address is used
to send you a reminder containing a direct link to ValuPage,
as well as updates on new offers and information available on
ValuPage. We will never share your e-mail address with another
subscription provider or third party vendor. We will never
share your uniquely identifiable information with any company.
While we typically do not require it, in some cases we
will ask you to provide your frequent shopper card number on
behalf of your retailer. If you elect to supply your card
number, ValuPage and your retailer will be able to provide
special offers and information on items of interest to you.
Your card number is used for the sole purpose of providing you
with more meaningful offers. No third party other than
ValuPage and your retailer will have access to your card
number at any time. We will never share your uniquely
identifiable information with any company.
How is
personal information changed on the ValuPage site?
The only personal information that is able to be changed
is your e-mail address. For a detailed description on how to
change this, click
here.
You may change zip code searches for supermarkets, by
typing a new one in at the home page.
There is no way, currently, to change your frequent
shopper card number.
What about cookies? A
cookie is a small piece of information that is automatically
stored by your browser on your computerís hard drive. Most web
browsers automatically accept cookies but you can usually
disable this feature. ValuPage uses cookies to help streamline
and personalize your visit by remembering such information as
the zip code you previously entered and the supermarket(s) you
selected. The use of cookies prevents you from having to
answer the same questions (i.e. What is your zip code?) every
time you visit ValuPage.
How will changes to the
Privacy Policy be communicated to our users? ValuPage
may update this policy. We will notify ValuPage users about
significant changes in the way we treat personal information
by sending a notice to the registered email address or by
placing a prominent notice on our site. The revision date on
this page will change if the policy is updated in any way.
ValuPage is committed to protecting your privacy. We
use the information we collect on the site to offer you more
relevant savings opportunities and enhance your overall
experience on the site. ValuPage does not sell, trade or rent
your personal information to others. At certain times, we may
provide aggregate statistics about our customers, traffic, and
related site information to a reputable third party for
analytical purposes only. However, any and all statistics will
not contain any personally identifying information.
